St John's Church, Princes Street, EH2 4BJ

In 1517, a then unknown monk dared to swim against the current and started a movement that changed the face of the Western Church. In 1962, Pope John XXIII electrified the Roman Catholic Church, the largest religious body on earth, with an unexpected current. But where is the church heading now, five centuries after Martin Luther kicked-off the Reformation and just over five decades after the Second Vatican Council came to a close? Is the church still relevant in our multicultural and increasingly secular society? Come and join us at St John's Festival Pulpit to hear voices from inside and outside the church. Each evening will commence at 6pm with a traditional sung Anglican Evensong. This will be followed by a presentation by the guest speaker and a Q&A session. All are welcome.
